Hailing from the Gulf Coast, Transient delivers a tapestry of melodic, aggressive vocals seamlessly interwoven with infectious Nu-Metal grooves and a modern metalcore attack. The brainchild of veteran musician Jody Linnell, former bassist of Smile Empty Soul and 12 Stones. Linnell, now behind the guitar, brought in a trio of talented friends to round out the lineup – Trey J. Mollo (vocals); Emmett Shumate (guitar); and Phil Krohn (drums). Together, this talented group released their first single entitled “Nightmare” in early 2020. With the single quickly gaining traction in the southeast, Transient went on to unleash a barrage of slamming tracks in 2021 to include “This Heart”, “No Light”, and “Goodbye” to name a few.

The band earned a bigger following in 2022 after playing the WCPR 97.9 CPR Fest in Biloxi, Mississippi in April, which included Nonpoint, Badflower, Seether, and 3 Doors Down. Transient went on to play various tours and shows in the southeast US throughout the year, and was selected as part of the lineup for The Sound 228 radio station’s Rockin The Sound festival March, 2023 at Point Cadet in Biloxi, along with bands such as Nonpoint, Adelita’s Way, and Gemini Syndrome.

Making 2022 even more memorable for Transient was signing with Pepper Gomez’s WakeUp! Music Rocks record label. With label backing Transient released their three song EP, entitled “Lotus” spanning across 2023 which contained tracks “Seed”, “Sow”, and “Thrive”. To date the band has obtained six, number #1 chart positions on various radio stations around the southeast and several write ups in notable publications to include Metal Injection, Loudwire,  KnotFest, Revolver, and Blabbermouth.

With no plans of slowing down, Transient has joined up with MVK Music Group for artist management and Full Circle Entertainment for booking in anticipation for their next set of tours and releases going into next year. In addition, Transient has enlisted the help of friend/bassist Steven Godbey to fill out the band's line up. With a great team behind this talented band, the future is bright for Transient. The band’s music is always evolving and growing with each new track. There is no doubt more awesome tunes will be coming from Transient for years to come.
